Dennis Steinhauer
LEED-AP

LEED AP project manager and founding partner of PowerHouse, Dennis Steinhauer has been constructing energy efficient residential and commercial buildings in Montana for more than a decade. His strong and effective working relationships with subcontractors and architects throughout the region result in efficient project execution. His years of experience with a range of super-insulated walls, in addition to cutting edge mechanical systems, make Steinhauer an indispensable resource for both full-scale retrofits and new, highly efficient structures.

Jon Shafer
ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER

In-house engineer, project manager and founding partner of PowerHouse, Jon Shafer has made Power House-ICS a pioneer in the field of building performance auditing software development. His design and testing of wireless monitoring equipment enable Power House to exceed client expectations with maximized efficiency and subsequent cost savings. Shafer's vast knowledge base, his skills as a researcher and his ability to understand every aspect of mechanical system performance have been instrumental in designing our most complex projects to date.

Pete Strom
CFO

CFO and founding partner of PowerHouse, Pete Strom is a serial entrepreneur who has led the development of the process by which we analyze, present and assess the returns on investment generated by implementing each integrated conservation system we create. Strom believes that each integrated system should not only satisfy the moral imperative to do the right thing, but be financially rewarding as well. He is constantly researching and engaging new technologies — ranging from simple advances in power strips to motion sensors, lighting and renewable power generation — that, when applied systematically, reap significant rewards. Strom has additional background in leadership development, organizational psychology and systems theory.
